About "Frank" and I: "The French version, published openly by Charles Carrington as Camille et moi, by Jean de Villiot, was probably done by Hugues Rebell (Georges Grassal) before his death in 1905". "As was usual with Carrington's 'official' adaptations into French of his clandestine English texts, Camille et moi purges the tale of all sexual description, leaving it an exclusively flagellation text" (note 142).
